Leather Industry evolved with the introduction of sewing
machine.
As we know leather items are in daily demand and in earlier
times it took a lot of time to create all the items with a given span of time
which lead to decrease in their overall sales.
As we have discussed in our previous work about Sewing
Machine: Growth, Positive Impact on other industries as well. Unlike many other
industries, sewing machine became a need in their industry too.
Why sewing machine?
As to meet the demand of leather products within a short
span, sewing machine was the only option to get the work done in time. This
leads to the evolution of leather sewing machine.
Sewing Machines require less man power and consume less time
in completing the same amount of work which took allot of hours before its
introduction.
What is the need of leather sewing
machine?
As we are getting a leather item done for our house or other
thing, we can’t afford a mistake in it. Specially, in leather work you have to
stitch it properly otherwise one wrong hole could lead to a bad design which is
also a waste of your money & time too.
The main thing which has to be taken care of is that we are
making a permanent hole in the product.
Manual stitching is way different from leather sewing
machine.
What things to be kept in mind while
doing leather stitching?
When we are talking about leather stitching, we need to keep
some things in mind before starting as we are working with leather. Leather
stitching makes our needle point dull – which in last will end up as broke up
or damaging our machine. So we have to change the needle in daily process to
get the best of work to be done.
There’s a lot of difference between standard sewing machine
and leather sewing machine. In standard sewing machine thread usually gets
break up due to adjustment with the stitch, while in leather machine we don’t
have to worry about this issue.
Types of leather sewing machines
1. Residential Sewing Machine
2. Industrial Sewing Machine
Let’s know find out the difference
between residential & industrial sewing machine.
Residential sewing machine are all-in one machine that we
lead you to do some of the basic sew leather work. It can handle a leather of
about 3/16” thickness only when we are using proper needles.
To get more work or you can say to sew anything thicker than
3/16”, we have to invest in a Industrial Sewing Machine which can make our work
more easier and reliable. There are some advantages of Industrial Machine over
Residential Machine which I am going to discuss down here:
1.
The speed of stitching is increased.
2.
Stitch length is also found to be upgraded,
which is also a plus point for us.
For better working of your Industrial Machine, don’t forget
to lubricate it after every new session. Oiling is must for your machine even
if you use it daily or not.
